I’ve returned again and again to this powerfully subtle collaboration by two undersung luminaries of experimental music. Olive uses his trademark magnetic pickups, and Owen a range of shortwave radio, oscillators, paper and contact microphone. The results soar beyond the quotidian into something quietly beautiful and timeless.

This one from Ben Owen is another solo on acoustic guitar home studio recording, but it stands out for me as one of the better ones. I really like what he did with the crescendo -- first belting, then going sotto voce for the second half of the crescendo. Not a standard take on that, but really nice.
