Signs were up suggesting 121St between 102 and Jasper might close. So, it’s either 136St to cross SPR and go Ramsey Ravine or fight SUVs on 116St or do 120St and wait forever at the Jasper #begbuttons. #yegbike

#BegButtons around here rarely actually provide safe passage. I use them anyway, if only to give me something to point to when shouting at the motorists trying to run me over.
But this particular beg button is hardly worth the effort.

Darcy RI think my city saw my critique of #BegButtons and thought, “how can this be made worse?” This pole is in my video. You can see the cut in the sidewalk where the pole used to be. The dirt gap was a nice touch while the snow was melting and will be good in any heavy rains. #yegbike #BikeTooter #accessibility #influencer
Can you access beg buttons from your bakfiets?
@TricycleMayor My disability hasn't limited me much yet but I've been advocating about how #BegButtons reinforce #CarCulture for some time. Trying to use them from a #bakfiets helped me notice even more how physically inaccessible some are.
