Beaded bag from the Wasco tribe, part of the Chinookan family. Created circa 1860, possibly in Oregon or Washington, USA, the bag measures 71 x 17cm and was made from tanned leather, cordage, glass rocaille beads, brass beads and commercial brass buttons. Provided to the Metropolitan Museum of Art by The Charles and Valerie Diker Collection of Native American Art, Accession Number: 2021.434.22
