On #ThisDayInHistory in 1944, the #resistance militia in #Luxembourg scored a major victory against the #Nazi forces. The Germans, having tried to annex the Grand Duchy, had been pushed out, but came back. In the #BattleOfVianden, they lost 18 #WaffenSS to only one dead defender.
