Today is the anniversary of the Battle of Grunwald/Bitwa pod Grunwaldem/Žalgirio mūšis which took place in 1410.
It halted German eastward expansion just as Ukraine today fights to halt Russia's imperialistic aggression.
In 1960 the Polish film "Krzyżacy" adapted from the Sienkiewicz novel depicted the battle. EN subtitles available.
