Shadow of the Cat (1961) is sort of a Hammer film. Stars Barbara Shelley. There's a mysterious disappearance, and a cat out for revenge. A hybrid of 1960s Hammer psychological thriller and gothic horror. Unusual and worth seeing.

Terence Fisher's Dracula: Prince of Darkness was the first Hammer film I ever saw so obviously I have a definite soft spot for it.

For a 1966 Hammer film it's surprisingly disturbing. In this movie vampirism is all about female sexuality.

And of course, Christopher Lee as Dracula.

Cat Girl is a 1957 British horror film clearly inspired by the 1942 Val Lewton classic Cat People. Cat Girl fails to live up to its predecessor but having said that it’s still definitely worth a look, mostly for the performance of star Barbara Shelley.
