A little background check as to why I'm against ban features (7 points):
1) #gatekeeping :
Ban features are gatekeeping. They're used maliciously by people overreaching their power and control, turning them into #gatekeepers.
2) #banningusers is #bad :
Banning users is bad.
It has been a thing when communities didn't have bots to oversee moderation before 2015.
3) #oldfashioned :
Bans are old-fashioned and not made for the modern web economy.
4) #divideandrule :
Bans are used as a tool to divide and rule communities, preventing good sportspersonship, friendliness, and unity from being core community values.
5) #inhuman :
Bans are against basic human rights, those being Freedom of Expression, Freedom of Thought, and Freedom of Discussion.
6) #immoral :
Bans are immoral. They go against the principle that morality rules, as such Bans go against this principle.
7) #noncompliance :
Bans are non-compliant with Web3's core value of Federation, Freedom, and Independence.
