The Governor of Farah, Mullah Mohammad Hafiz Mujahid, has discussed strengthening transport cooperation with a number of officials from Iran at a border point.

During this meeting, both sides discussed resolving the problems of the transfer of commercial goods, increasing ease of travel, and providing more services to traders and cargo carriers.

Iranian state media has reported that the country has executed a man on charges of espionage and collaboration with Israel.

According to reports, the man was named Ehsan Affshar, and it is said that he was trained in Nepal by Israel's intelligence agency, Mossad, and passed sensitive national intelligence information about Iran to Israel.

Following trade talks between members of the private sector of Balkh Province, Afghanistan, and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan, agreements worth $112 million were signed.

The agreements were signed in Balkh Province in the presence of Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Shahabuddin Thaqib, and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Aman Bay Oryn Bayuf.

An exhibition of products and manufactured goods from the Republic of Uzbekistan was also opened in the province.

The Standards and Quality Authority announced that three containers containing 51.6 tons of isogam, 33.4 tons of galvanized iron, and 18.69 tons of substandard goods have been returned to their country of origin from Sheikh Abu Nasr Farah Port.

The Authority emphasized that the process of controlling and stabilizing the quality of imported goods in all the country's ports will continue in a transparent, organized, and decisive manner, and that no leniency will be tolerated regarding the entry of substandard, non-standard, and health-threatening goods.

The Balkh Provincial Directorate of Irrigation and Development states that a water supply network has been constructed and put into operation in the Dawlatabad district at a cost of over 5.7 million Afghanis.

With the completion of this project, 150 families have gained access to clean drinking water.

The project was implemented with financial support from the Afghanistan Humanitarian Aid Fund.

The Ministers of Public Health of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan have discussed the expansion of health collaborations and related joint projects in Balkh.

The Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noorj Jal Jalali, emphasized the importance of heart disease treatment, the establishment of a cancer diagnostic center, the training of specialists, and the import of quality medicines.

The Uzbek side has committed to training Afghan doctors, strengthening laboratories, building clinics, and providing medicines.
