The Chamber of Commerce and Industry has warned the private sector and all traders that no commercial dealings or contracts should be made with 17 companies operating in the petroleum sector that have violated existing laws and principles.

These companies include Farid Ahmad Ghaznavi, Arif Aziz Farahi, Ariana Holding, Shukur Hamdard, Mohammad Naeem Nurzai, Taban Zaranj, Baradaran Watanwal, and Khalid Muzammil, among others. The relevant authority has given these 17 companies one month to complete the incomplete customs procedures for importing petroleum products.

The source states that after the allotted time expires, the announced companies will not be permitted to proceed with the import stages at customs and will not have the right to import.

Previously, the Standards and Quality Agency stated that it strictly monitors imported goods at all ports and will not show any leniency in preventing the entry of harmful goods.

The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation's Department of Meteorology has predicted thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in 21 provinces of the country for Wednesday.

The ministry wrote on its X (formerly Twitter) page that thunderstorms and heavy rainfall, along with potential lightning strikes, are expected in Farah, Baghdis, Herat, Farah, Ghor, Nimruz, Helmand, Kandahar, Zabul, Urozgan, Daikundi, Ghazni, Bamyan, Maidan Wardak, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Logar, Kabul, Parwan, and Nangarhar provinces on Wednesday.

According to the source, rainfall levels are expected to range from 10 to 40 millimeters and wind gusts from 10 to 35 meters in various areas.

The ministry also stated that strong winds are possible in central, southern, and eastern provinces, including Salang, with speeds estimated to range from 50 to 85 kilometers per hour in various areas.

The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation’s Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in 28 provinces of the country for today and tomorrow.

The forecast includes the provinces of Herat, Farah, Nimruz, Badghis, Ghor, Helmand, Kandahar, Zabul, Registan, Daikundi, Faryab, Jozjan, Balkh, Samangan, Sar-e-Pul, Bamyan, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Paktika, Khost, Paktia, Logar, Parwan, Baghlan, Nangarhar, Nuristan, Takhar, and Badakhshan, as well as along the Salang Pass.

According to the information, the rainfall level will be between 10 and 35 millimeters and the thunderstorm level will be between 10 and 30 centimeters.

The Supreme Court of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan states that the month of Shawwal has been sighted and corresponds to the first day of Eid al-Adha this Thursday, February 28th.

The Supreme Court has said that a large number of people in the provinces of Helmand, Farah, and Ghor have sighted the month of Shawwal and presented evidence of the sighting to Sharia courts, and these witnesses have been deemed legally valid.

The Supreme Court had previously urged citizens to attempt to sight the month in their areas, and if someone sighted the month, they could come forward to the court of their area and the Shawwal sighting committee to testify.

The Standards and Quality Agency has rejected 37.2 tons of substandard asphalt imported through the Sheikh Abu Nasr Farah Bandar port, sending it back to the country of origin.

As migratory birds pass through the skies of Afghanistan at the beginning of spring, the National Environmental Protection Agency has called on all people to refrain from hunting or harming them.

According to the agency, residents should also avoid destroying the habitats of these migratory birds, which temporarily stay in some areas of Afghanistan.

The agency has listed the names of the provinces of Paktika, Ghazni, Kabul, Parwan, Kapisa, Takhar, Kunduz, Balkh, Helmand, Nimruz, Farah, and Herat, stating that migratory birds pass through and reside in these provinces, and residents should avoid illegal hunting.
