@jon well, the cancellation of this one railway project is troubling me. It seems that the UK is totally loosing track of the fight against climate change.
I heard one hour of discussion on the #HS2 today on #BBC5live and nobody discussed the necessity of developing a much needed alternative to long distance car travel. One line of hs train line is not sufficient anyway to start the transition in traffic. Would need an aligned and coordinated network throughout the country.
