De Nederlandse startup Axelera, die AI-chips bouwt, heeft in een investeringsronde meer dan 250 miljoen dollar opgehaald, omgerekend 212 miljoen euro. Dat heeft het bedrijf dinsdag bekendgemaakt.

I spent the day with the #Axelera #AI card, and it’s been a bit frustrating, snd ended with me giving up on it, for now at least.

The software only supports one Linux distribution (Ubuntu 22.04, yes, 22, not the current 24 LTS), and needs some BIOS/UEFI tweaking in some cases (https://community.axelera.ai), so it seems like a good idea that has some way to go before it’s a plugin and play solution.

Hopefully they’ll get there.
