Update: Even though #AussieBroadband had a recorded message saying my postcode was currently having an outage, they didn't know about it!

It was that naughty #NBN busy working on making sure the outage of eight days ago didn't happen again. And while making sure it didn't happen again, they made it happen again. And will probably continue doing so, on and off, for the next ten hours.

Internet is down.

Check #AussieBroadband website. All the listed unscheduled outages are Queensland. I'm in Victoria.

I call. During all the recorded messages about the high volume of calls*, one recorded message says "We notice that your postcode is currently experiencing an outage".

1) It's actually ANOTHER outage. We went through this a eight days ago. Ten hours with no service = no refund.

2) If you know about it, why is it not on your website?

*"Your place in the queue is...37."

ISP giving us a free bump from 100/20 to 500/50 in a few weeks so that's pretty cool

OMG #iiNet support is so shit. Having to run a support call for a family member because the uplink is borked on a fibre connection and all I wanted to do is stab my eye with a pencil. 30 minutes later plus an escalation, case closed no fault found.

Churn being placed to #AussieBroadband who will actually fix your problem.

I’d say pay peanuts get monkeys but in this case you pay a premium for a shit product.

Also I've just seen that #AussieBroadband is now offering up to 400mbps on personal plans for a not *entirely* ridiculous price of $199/month. So yeah whoops I may have accidentally done that.

If you're an existing customer you can use the code "PRO30" to get $30 for some number of months (I don't recall how many, maybe 3 or 6?)

I had IPv6 working on #Starlink but I couldn’t on #AussieBroadband with my #UDMPro It took patience before the UDM started routing the packets out, which I don’t really understand. It wouldn’t last night but it was working this morning. LAN devices were getting addresses from the delegation but traceroute6 stopped at the UDM. (The UDM didn’t respond but the device had a route to it.) After I could connect to v6 sites this morning I enabled ICMP6 inbound on the firewall which got rid of the last gripe on test-ipv6.com Next challenge is to work out what best practice is for this. Getting good performance on #nbn fixed wireless. I think I can give up on Elon’s satellite and retain my Voda 4G backup. Inbound connections & fixed IP all for less than $100 per month.
It’s sucks to be #aussiebroadband’s customer on NBN fixed wireless because we are getting a special type of price reduction from $79 to $95 🤦🏻‍♂️ Then they sent me a apology for sending multiple emails (we have a FTTB service in the city) but haven’t yet worked out the real problem with this email.

uhhh .. i just got an email from my internet provider about a price change.

Its going DOWN in price? WTF? I mean, I'll take it, and that is awesome.. but.. wow.

Oct 2022 called and wants this web page updated #aussiebroadband In other news I’m giving the NBN a go. Starlink has had a year to introduce IPv6 and reasonable pricing for inbound connections.
Unlike #internode who sent me an sms 24 hours after the incident was resolved, #aussiebroadband just phoned me a mere minutes after the incident was resolved to confirm all was good.
