i'm just wondering, how far away from the red area does the 31st MEU have to be before their #amphibious status kicks in.

range of 14 nautical miles and speed of 6 knots

i am of course assuming that the 31st MEU is no where in the pictured waterway, which would mean the entire fleet will have to fight their way through the Strait of Hormuz?

i'm no general here of course, just someone that likes wargames.
