jimjollingsAnd I’ve read Voices of the Dead by Ambrose Parry. I can’t believe how hooked I got on this and stormed through it in two days. Who’d have thought gynaecology and crime-solving in the mid-19th Century would be such a compelling basis for a novel series.
I also read The Spendthrift and the Swallow, a short story by Ambrose Parry which I didn’t realise existed until this week. It’s a short version of their novels, but I’m not really sure I understand the point of it. Perhaps it’s just a marketing tactic in free ebook form to promote the novels? I prefer the full-length stories.
