I dropped by the library and randomly picked up a book and a DVD (each which I knew nothing about).

The book is The Job, by Ellen Ruppel Shell. I read the first 50 pages. Interesting so far. It's non-fiction.

The DVD is Alias Grace. It's a fictional CBC series written by Sarah Polly and based on a Margaret Atwood novel. I've watched the first two episodes. Gripping so far.

Two excellent shows on #Netflix, imo, are #AliasGrace, 2017 from #MargaretAtwood's book developed by showrunner #SarahPolley, and #BehindHerEyes, 2021, starring #SimonaBrown, #EveHewson, and #TomBateman.

Both reward viewers for paying attention through the end, rather than merely confuse them for confusion's sake (like #Dark and #1899, et al.).

They're not alike, and don't seem to have reached the level of audience each earns.

If you like top quality entertainment, I recommend both.

Intrigué par la bande-annonce de la série qui l'adapte sur Netflix, j'ai décidé de découvrir ALIAS GRACE (en français,la série sera intitulée "CAPTIVE") de Margaret ATWOOD en livre audio (éditions Harper Audio) avec Diana QUICK comme narratrice.
