I'm listening to an audiobook on Libby. I borrowed the book from overdrive via my public library subscription.
The cursing and other "offensive language" is censored with short silences which I find very annoying.
It's the first time I encounter this. Is this something common?
I looked in the app in case there were settings but didn't find anything. It looks to be in the original audio.

I've finished: Children of Strife by Adrian Tchaikovsky
What an incredible ride.
Building on the foundation set by the first three novels in the Children of Time series, Children of Strife can concentrate on the pivotal moments of Tchaikovsky's uplift universe.
The story follows a terraforming project from Avrana Kern's generation, a desperate colony ship from the ruins of old earth and a rescue mission from the Panspecific society set up by the sentient beings we know and love.
Children of Strife highlights the difference between earth's colonization project from the beginning of Children of Time, led by egomaniacal psychopaths with the egalitarian alternative established by the end of Children of Ruin / Memory.
It is a clear indictment of today's tech billionaire class and their aspirations to become humanities gods and saviors.

I love stories about cats and I love stories about time travel, and yet I made it this far in my life unaware of this book about a time traveling cat! In this story we learn that it’s incorrect to say that cats have nine lives. Instead, cats may travel to nine different periods in world history, which is why cats seem to go missing so easily or appear in rooms they weren’t previously in. A boy named Jason discovers that his cat Gareth can talk and joins his cat on a whirlwind of adventures to ancient Egypt, Roman Britain, 17th century Germany at the height of witchcraft hysteria, and Massachusetts at the start of the Revolution. Somehow a lot of their adventures involve groups of kittens which just heightens the cuteness. It’s a fun, gentle novel with some history mixed in. It’s perfect for kids who love adventure, time travel, and cats, even if they’re in their 50s.
