Had a practise session practising a song in proper Alexander technique teacher manner: Let go, organize myself, take a slow breath, sing a phrase, note how much I tensed up singing it, relax, organise myself, take a slooow breath, sing the phrase again, rinse, repeat, eventually move on to the next phrase and do the same. Took me an hour to get through a 3 min song but I felt very good after that!
Note to self: neck free goes well with letting go of the root of the tongue, and head forward and up and soft palate forward and up are another good pairing to think of.
