Last week in Adelaide hills after radical storm went through. These trees are old growth Eucalyptus obliqua-Stringy Barks - and many of them twisted and torn, tossed onto powerlines and roofs. Devastating as these trees are severely stresses due to the #ClimateCrisis #ClimateBreakdown and to see such extensive damage was heart-breaking. So many valuable hollows now down and destroyed. #AdelaideStorm #Biodiversity #Trees Nature

Oh, and Mum & Dad had their power restored after the #AdelaideStorm at about 7 am this morning. When Mum phoned me around their lunchtime, she was trying to organise her online grocery order for delivery tomorrow. Fingers crossed! They lost their whole chest freezer full of food, and the freezer on the fridge, and a lot of fridge items.

How are the other #Adelaide people doing?

So nice to have power. But for some reason overnight our Internet dropped out again. At least we've got mobile data coverage now, so less disconnected than we were over the weekend.

@Wolfie_Rankin wow! I’m very impressed by that.
I’m super #anxious about how my parents (and many other #Adelaide people) will go this week after the #AdelaideStorm. Mum & Dad rely almost exclusively on grocery delivery, with Dad walking to the greengrocers each day (more for exercise and to keep his connections in the community than because they really need anything that often.)
Woke up this morning and we seem to have some mobile data, though no idea if it is just temporary. Power still off and could well be days before it is restored. #Adelaide #AdelaideStorm
