I sort of tick off accomplisments in my mind, as I go through the day.
โ€ข I'm up (not awake, but sort of vertical)
โ€ข Tablets taken, in juice (daily dose of Vitamin C)
โ€ข Coffee
โ€ข 2nd coffee
โ€ข Get dressed (can't rush these things)
โ€ข Assigned activity for the day
โ€ข Lunch
โ€ข Rest
โ€ข Afternoon cuppa and snack
โ€ข Rest
โ€ข Prepare evening meal and eat
โ€ข Take night time tabs in juice again.
โ€ข Have wash, or shower, and prepare for bed.
This is regular routine, with the occasional deviation. Any anomalies get noted on the whiteboard or calendar.
The older one gets, the more one's short term memory short circuits. Anything out of the ordinary...Bzzzzt, it's gone. #ActuallyAutisticElder

@fergus.oolong.co.uk I have seen 'syndrome' used, too. Disorder is actually a better term than others. Less pathologising, imo. We are not ordinary. Our brains are wired differently to so-called norms.
We need to explore those differences, and dispel the myths around them. #ActuallyAutisticElder
@LucyG Actually, I am an ally to all who are bullied, whatever their vulnerability. I am an #ActuallyAutisticElder who has been staunchly anti-bully all my life...no doubt partly because of being bullied. #TransRightsAreHumanRights
Iโ€™m trying to live from my own Autistic brain, rewriting the normal
world as I go, I believe this is what developmental delays are about, and even rewrite some โ€œscience,โ€ my way, but I have to admit, I am surely still a child, still far behind where a fully developed Autistic adult might be if they werenโ€™t . . . feral, if they grew up in an Autistic society and world. I can sense it sometimes, my arrested development, the childish state of my thinking, that while itโ€™s been audited for some of the most Allistic noise I canโ€™t really use, there hasnโ€™t really been anything to replace it all with, that I will die from age before I have a mature Autistic mind, somehow.
.
Embarrassing sometimes, sometimes I have to abandon an argument, shut up before it becomes simply circular, but mostly just frustrating. I have to be this way but I could have used some help at it, and people are probably out there somewhere who could have been that, but . . . I didnโ€™t spend my life with those people.

@Levitator As an #ActuallyAutisticElder I naturally speak for myself.๐Ÿ˜‰ @iita @dramypsyd @actuallyautistic
@homelessjun Oh. I have the 'middle distance' gaze. I'd never heard of the others. I am an #ActuallyAutisticElder
@DrMcStrange That's quite the dogmatic statement, and takes no account of either condition running in families, grandparents, parents & children. The truth is more likely to be that - through laziness, lack of curiosity, and deliberate ignorance on the part of the general psychological fraternity - Autism has remained a stagnated neurological disorder, and ADHD is believed to be a dietary disorder.
If you are going to 'cull' your opinions from the net, try to cast your net further and wider. #ActuallyAutisticElder @PatternChaser
@msdropbear42 It deteriorates, from my reading. As an #ActuallyAutisticElder, I have to say that puberty did nothing but make me pudgy, and gave me acne.
