I won't be seeing #TheSuperMarioBrosMovie until tomorrow, but I've already seen people on social media complain about how Peach is written as a #badass #ActionGirl instead of a #DamselInDistress. These individuals deny they're being sexist; they just want the movie to be faithful to the games.

The thing is, while Peach is often a damsel, she's been a badass action girl since 1989. Thread time!
