Even with all this - Amazon is often the cheapest & easiest alternative for many... good luck with convincing people to not shop there.

@the I have a large clacky fan with a bi pride flag printed on it.
I always take it when I go dancing, because hot, so of course it went with me to a queer tango festival earlier this year. A friend and I popped out for a bit for a drag brunch. He was clacking my fan, and the rivet busted.
So, I went to ACE Hardware. I had no riveting equipment. They got me a bolt of appropriate size, washer, and nut and fixed it right there. It was like $1.15.
So my attempted #ShoppingSpree this morning was largely unsuccessful. π€·ββοΈ
I was looking for a new corded 3/8" electric drill to replace one that I bought over 40 years ago & that's been sitting unused in a storage box for most of that time.
I have a battery operated Dewalt 3/8 drill but its 18V batteries went dead again because of age & lack of use. The OEM batteries are really expensive. I recall paying $60-70 each for them at one time but I found a pair of knockoffs that for just $30 on #Amazon that get good reviews that I'm going to give a try.
Anyway, found a couple of corded 3/8" electric drills at my local #AceHardware but they're more expensive than the same drills sold on Amazon. I also looked for one at Tractor Supply but they didn't have any.
So, looks like I'm also going to buy the drill from Amazon. π€·ββοΈ
