De debuutplaat van de legendarische New Yorkse punkband Ramones wordt 50 jaar – tijd voor een energieke integrale uitvoering van dit meesterwerkje! En wie kan dat beter doen dan Ramones Alive, het collectief gerenommeerde muzikanten met zanger Marco Roelofs (Heideroosjes), drummer Bart Nederhand (Peter Pan Speedrock), gitarist Oeds Beydals (The Devil’s Blood) en bassist Harold Gielen (Legion of the Damned). In 2024 deed dit gezelschap al een succesvolle tournee door Belgische en Nederlandse zalen met een doorsnede uit vijftig jaar Ramones-werk. One, two, three, four! Gabba, Gabba, Hey!

Support wordt verzorgd door Antillectual, deze Nijmeegse punkband spreekt zich al meer dan twintig jaar uit tegen misstanden over de hele wereld. Op de nieuwste release Voorrang Voor Rechts doen ze dat voor het eerst in de Nederlandse taal. Woede, frustratie en urgentie – recht voor z’n raap en zonder omwegen.

ANTILLECTUAL uit Nijmegen groeide op met skatepunk en emo in de jaren ‘90 en ‘00. Een filosofische, krachtige en pakkende vibe, met invloeden zoals Crass’ diy politiek, Hüsker Dü’s authenticiteit en gitaaracrobatiek a lá Van Halen.
De band speelt veel shows in het buitenland. In 2023 leverde dit zelfs een top 5 ranking op in de exportlijst voor Nederlandse muziek. Onderdeel van de tour voor hun eerste Nederlandstalige release ANTILLECTUEEL.

ADGTH: Rauwe akoestische emo-indiefolkliedjes overwoekerd door pure en scherpe melancholie. Met wortels in de punkscene legt all dogs go to heaven een brug tussen pakkende, dromerige gitaarmelodieën en oprechte teksten.

Nerf Herder, pionier van de late jaren 90′ Poppunk en geekrock genres, komt op 2 Juni 2026 naar onze Kleine Zaal! Misschien zijn ze het best bekend als ‘die band van die de titeltrack van Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ , maar Nerf Herder werd in 1996 opgepikt door Arista Records nadat hun ironische ode Van Halen de Modern Rock-charts bestormde. De clip van opvolger Sorry was op z’n beurt een vaste MTV-hit. In deze clip zie je Mark hamill en Miguel Ferrer, een ludieke verwijzing naar Star Wars die gezien de bandnaam ergens te verwachten was.

Dit jaar viert de band het 30-jarig jubileum van hun self-titled debuutalbum met een speciale Europese tour, inclusief oud materiaal. Ter ere van dit jubileum is een nieuwe akoestische versie van het debuutalbum opgenomen door oprichters Steve Sherlock en Parry Gripp, samen met vaste bandleden Ben Pringle en Linus Dotson. Deze zal op vinyl verkrijgbaar zijn bij de shows.

Ich höre ja doch immer wieder ein paar niederländische Bands und alle haben etwas gemeinsam: Alle singen auf Englisch, normalerweise.
Auch Antillectual, aber hier haben sie mal eine Ausnahme gemacht und alles in ihrer Muttersprache aufgenommen.
Sehr passend, da gerade diese EP gegen Wilders und Co geht.
Auf der B Seite gibt auch ein Green Day (Welcome to Paradies) sowie noch ein Blink182 Cover, allerdings mit komplett anderen Text.

Macht Spaß soweit, wenn auch schwierig (bis gar nicht zu verstehen, da Niederländisch)

Antillectual Drop New EP

Antillectual is releasing their first-ever Dutch EP, Antillectueel, today, featuring around 9 tracks in their direct native language. This leftist-populist, counterculture punk release is designed to help listeners process recent election results. The songs tackle local symptoms of global issues, including the shift to the right, populist figures, and tax evasion, using the in-your-face Dutch language as the perfect medium. Side A features new tracks, while Side B is a mixed bag of pseudo-covers and re-interpretations.

To support their EP Antillectual will embark on an exclusive Dutch tour. This occasion will be the only chance to see the band play their Dutch songs live:

Dutch Melodic Punk Rock Trio Antillectual Breaks Language Barrier With New EP “Antillectueel”

Dutch punk trio Antillectual are reclaiming their mother tongue on their upcoming EP Antillectueel, out November 11 on vinyl and digital formats. After more than 20 years of writing and performing exclusively in English, the band makes a radical and timely shift, responding to the politics of exclusion and the global swing to the right. By embracing Dutch, Antillectual channel their anger and urgency directly into the local discourse, transforming personal frustration into political song.

Known for their conceptual EPs, acoustic reinterpretations, covers, and viral Netherpunk jingles, the band continue their tradition with Antillectueel, mixing repurposed favorites with brand-new originals. Ahead of the release, they will drop the single Voorrang Voor Rechts on October 18, strategically aligned with the Dutch elections. With this record, Antillectual don’t just sing against injustice, they sing in a language meant to spark immediate resonance at home, while staying true to punk’s internationalist spirit.
