Reality is tougher than Senate confirmation in Bondi's aim to do Trump's bidding

Pam Bondi appears likely to become the kind of attorney general Donald Trump wished for through his entire first term: absolute fealty and commitment to his avenging his petty grievances. But while her spirit is willing, the lack of a factual basis for many of Trump's vendettas is likely to put her at risk of leaving Trump disappointed and unfulfilled. David Rohde, NBC News national security editor, discusses with Alex Wagner.

Rachel Maddow on Pam Bondi: Five things to know about Trump's (second) pick for attorney general

How much will Americans get to know about the people Donald Trump is choosing to run the U.S. government? In the absence of any real vetting the way it's usually done, Rachel Maddow presents a Rachel Maddow Show Public Servant Announcement to hopefully help fill that gap. In this episode, Rachel takes a closer look at Trump's choice for attorney general, Pam Bondi, who has been working closely with Trump, despite not being given a role in his first administration, showing commitment to his causes, including the prosecution of his political opponents. While Bondi is not highly regarded for her abilities, she does benefit from comparison to Trump's first choice for attorney general, former Rep. Matt Gaetz.

It's hard to imagine a worse presidential transition than the one that ended in a deadly attack on the Capitol on 2021 & #TFG not even attending.

But yeah. This new #Transition is SO #BSC it could eclipse even the last one.

It's going to be #ALongFourYears... assuming we survive it.

Maddow: Trump Cabinet confirmation process already falling apart

Rachel Maddow marvels at the fact that even with a second chance at it, Donald Trump cannot manage to oversee a presidential transition that isn't chaotic and in poor order, including failing to get the proper paperwork done on his own Cabinet nominees.

One person in the above 👆 video "who asked not to have their face shown called the idea [to rename it #TheGulfOfAmerica] 'stupid'."

The fact that person didn't want their face shown is telling. THEY KNOW TO FEAR #OrangeHitler's violent #RedHats/#Brownshirts.

#Hitler had his Jews, and T**** has his #Mexicans.

It's this same #Nationalism that has him wanting to annex #Canada (the way Hitler "annexed" Austria.) "Who *wouldn't want to be part of The Great American Empire?" 😞 #ALongFourYears
