UK Members of parliament have again voted down a House of Lords amendment that aimed at adding transparency to the use of copyrighted material for generative AI training.

All the amendment wanted was to ensure copyright holders are able to see when their work has been used and by who. But that is apparently to much regulation for the MPs. #AI #AI_Regulation

The UK House of Lords has backed an amendment to the Data Bill requiring #AI companies to reveal which copyrighted material is used in their models.

This is to the dismay of the UK government who wants to let AI firms use copyright-protected work to build their models without permission. #AI_Regulation
