Indigenous #tseshaht  elder Tom Watts - the best athlete ever to emerge from #PortAlberni, and who is now 90 is honoured with having Alberni Basketball's top award named after him... which he presented, this year, to his star basketball player granddaughter!

Mr. Watts is on the School’s Wall of Fame:
"“It says athlete,” said Roberts. “Quite simply, Tom excelled at everything he did.””

This weekend in #portAlberni was the Totem basketball Tournament. It was the 69th edition! As the shirts said this year: “It’s kind of a big deal!”.
We sat beside the pep-band. Really should have brought ear plugs. 😝
