The "other" Westland Whirlwind. Quick little build to get things moving this year.. delightful old kit from 1956 with nice new decals from 2022 boxing A02056V. Maybe for the next pop, Airfix will do something about the clear parts which don't fit well and aren't very clear!

Finishing a Mitsubishi Ki-46-II Dinah trainer on take-off. I'd never paid much attention to the Ki46, but the more I worked on it, the more I realised it has really beautiful lines - up in the same class as the Mosquito IMHO. The bird-cage canopy of the trainer version is just wild!

This is the 1:72 ARII kit I picked up as a SG$5 bargain. Why are cheap kits often the most fun?!

This time, I decided to try propblurmodels for in-flight effect, and I really like it. I think I could push the fade of the painting even further for more realism.

I used some Hasegawa airmen figures - navy not army, but after all the careful painting, not really visible through the canopy anyway!
