i actually used that when I wrote #50kStories in November
wrote, then read, 40k+ words of stories i wrote over 3 days
there were lots of goofs that I missed in text that i found in speech
is this the time i should announce that i’m working on a #book about #hacking?
or should i announce that it’s actually three books about #hacking?
won’t say more yet (and don’t ask) other than it definitely is a result of #BadIdeaSaturday and #50kStories (even if I only typed out 40.6k before body gave up)
so I didn’t quite succeed on #BadIdeaSaturday #50kStories but all things considered I didn’t do that bad
40.6k words over three days is pretty good when you have responsibilities like cooking food and taking care of the cat.
I ran out of ideas for stories, but that’s ok. It’s a first raw attempt. Maybe next time I’ll finish it successfully.
I’m not going to stream the rest of the effort for #50kStories.
It’s overwhelming to oversee the streaming, and come up with the stories, and sit in an uncomfortable chair that’s poorly configured for my desk… and read every word I wrote.
This also was my first time streaming and in 3d I’ve done I’ve 27h of it.
If I stand any chance of polishing off the last 14k words by midnight, I need to change my MO.
Stream has begun.
I’m hoping to complete this marathon.
Day three of the #BadIdeaSaturday #50kStories stream will start in about an hour at 11a PST.
I’m just impressed at myself that in 21h of streaming I’m at about 29k words down.

At a current word count of 29.4k, there’s actually a good chance I’ll break the 50k mark by midnight tomorrow.

The thing about writing somewhat free form as I’m doing this #BadIdeaSaturday is that sometimes you stumble across parts of yourself you never realized consciously.
