Not sure, tho, I can agree with the overall criticism that the public also deserves criticism for electing corrupt politicians.
When 'the media' has largely been hijacked by elite-funded 'talkback' outlets via radio, tv, and social media?
When the #4thestate is back to circa 1978 levels of staffing? When the vacuum of a dying news media industry is zone-flooded with the sh*t of Bannon et al?
Yeah, nah.
My conclusion?
Because the #4thestate is obviously dead in the United States as they gathered to celebrate and acknowledge that perceived success last night, there is no longer any purpose for US corporate media to grow any larger in its current lack of regulation.
It should be clear to every US citizen by now that the billionaire overlords in US media should ALL BE DISMANTLED and auctioned for scrap.

US so-called "politics", everything adjacent to it & every single bit of press concering it is a goddamn farce & not a good one. I really, truly do not care. This is just more of the same. Call me when something actually interesting happens.

Unfortunately this is in no way limited to the WH press corps or right-wing pundits - I can report that the entire Danish news media landscape still does this with complete reliability.
In fact, even though it's the only objective way of covering US politics I can't remember having seen a single example from news media anywhere in the world that was anywhere near "Man who has spouted nothing but nonsense his entire carreer unsurprisingly still spouts nonsense".

Il y a un point central, absent explicitement du texte : en démocratie, les médias sont le "4e pouvoir", un véritable contre-pouvoir (OK, il y a des conditions à cela et rien ne se fait parl'opération d'une simple baguette magique. N'empêche). En brouillant les frontières entre espace médiatique et espace politique, la présence d'ex-politiciens dans l'espace médiatique québécois affaiblit l'espace du débat démocratique.
