#30daysOfBiking up Terwilliger and back a bit to cut blackberry canes that are reaching across the bike lane (of a couple #invasive types, I think these are Evergreen. Our native pacific trailing blackberry has smaller thorns, thinner stems, and is much kinder to bike lanes but it does dangle from the trees above sometimes. Though invasive clematis vitalba is more annoying in that regard besides killing our big deciduous trees.) This stand of canes has been here since last (2?) year. #pdxBikes
Day 2 of #30DaysOfBiking started off with a ride with the teen to school & ended with a trip to the bike shop to pick up his new bike and then take a spin on the greenway. #BikeTooter
Day 2: I procrastinated and waited until after dark because it was raining earlier and I didn't have anywhere to go. So I went at like 8pm to do a quick ~3.5 mile loop around the neighborhood. It's amazing how enjoyable biking is even in crappy weather. #30DaysOfBiking
I started #30DaysofBiking yesterday without even trying, and somehow also dodged the rain while I was in the store

Day 2: Worse weather today. Freezing rain and icy conditions in the morning so not worth riding, and temperatures right above freezing and raining tonight. Even though it was the "nice" part of the day I barely went anywhere. But effort made.

Day 2 of #30DaysOfBiking - post school dropoff ride home. Hopefully not all of these will be @bikelaneuprising posts

My #30DaysOfBiking is probably going to have to start on Saturday at this point. I still need to finish cabling River.

I can't use Rusty, because the seized bottom bracket is making a grinding noise after I took off the cranks. It's probably not coming out without me spending a lot of money at the local bike shop. Even if I have the right bottom bracket to replace it.

#30DaysOfBiking Day 2:
We didn't get the freezing rain/ice or slushy snow they predicted, but it did rain all day. I took the opportunity in the garage to clean/lubricate some chains, swap out studded tires and remove Bar Mitts for the season. As it was still raining, I pulled on my bike rain gear and did a bad weather loop to Slatterly Park and back for 6 miles. The trees are shedding their leaf bud covers (is there a name for them?) which littered the wet trails.

Day 2 #30DaysofBiking
More Blue Bike adventures! They're funky bikes: single speed, no control over how much e-assist it gives. It starts assisting when you start pedaling, but that assistance isn't really based on how hard you're pedaling. So as long as you keep turning the cranks very lightly, it keeps going at its max speed.
