A very personal favourite for Day 20 of my #20Reviews @bookstodon a fun journey picking 20 books from those tagged as 'my favourites/ The Storygraph (full list in my profile) and it seems right to end the journey at the beginning, with a story that connects me with my father and the land he called home, a book featured in my pinned list of 10 books here, and in my #20books20days

Day 14 of my #20Reviews @bookstodon sees a new entry break in my favourites. As a tepid Gooner for the last 42 years, with spasms of less tepidity, this book was a real delight to read. Even for those not remotely interested in #ArsenalFC or #Football in general, this analysis of the interplay between club, culture, community and corporate capitalism (albeit absent any absurdly affected alliteration) is worth a look imo

Day 10 of my #20Reviews @bookstodon , halfway!

This is a short reaction to a book that I absolutely LOVED.

"It is a truth universally acknowledged that" another of Austen's works is the most common pick for Number 1, but this one is my favourite, for sure.
