So I got the "Intel X550-T2 Dual-Port Ethernet Converged Network Adapter" from B&H to replace the crap #10Gtek X550-T2 #Network Card that has old/locked #Firmware with bugs.
The new real Intel card works & is not locked.
Now I can move on with my OPNsense Router.😃
I learned: Don't buy #Tech from lazy ass companies in #China, who don't take the time to test anything, like #10Gtek

After much back & forth via email
I got #10Gtek to say:
"After further investigation, our Technical Team has confirmed that the X550-T2 Network Card Firmware is indeed Not Compatible with OPNsense v25.7.3 & FreeBSD v14.3."
They say they will update the spec page to reflect that & will give me a full refund, after I send them the card back🙄
So I was right all along & I still say don't buy 10Gtek stuff!

So what kind of crazy bugs was I getting on #OPNsense v25.7.3?
Well everything worked OK in DHCP client mode on my LAN(in setting it up)
but when I started testing with just OPNsense router to 1 #PC
nothing would work no matter what I tried!!! <trust me!
So I tried 2 different 5port #Switch's in between them.
The router would not auto negotiation, I had to set it. DHCP service would not work at all & I ran into other odd errors.
It's the #10Gtek #Firmware

On my LAN in DHCP client, it works
but Aug to now
I was testing with just router & 1 #PC on a 5port #switch, I got crazy auto negotiation & DHCP server issues.
I blamed myself but it was the shitty #10Gtek X550-T2!!!
So card #Firmware is old & locked
FW2.11.11 NVM2.10.0
I can't return it & now I have to buy a new card🙄
10Gtek listed it compatible with #FreeBSD & OPNsense all lies.
