Wir waren nun auch mal in #Saigon (offiziell: Ho Chi Minh City). Meine Frau stammt aus Nordvietnam, daher war der Besuch im Süden mal was anderes. Folgendes fällt im Vergleich zu Nordvietnam auf:
- Die Temperaturen sind nochmal deutlich höher, also so nochmal 10 Grad mehr als im Norden. Wir hatten jetzt Tagestemperaturen von um die 35 Grad
- Ist der Verkehr in Hanoi schon schlimm, ist der in Saigon noch zehn mal heftiger. Der schlimmste Alptraum jedes Fußgängers
- Rucksack-Tourismus ist echt noch ein Ding. Warum auch immer.
- Bui Vien Walking Street ist die "Partymeile". Etwa Düsseldorfer Bolkerstraße potenziert mit 1000. Die Preise für Gastronomie haben dort westliches Niveau. Nix mit billig Bier
- Ben-Thanh Markt: Wenn man das Dong Xuan Center in Berlin kennt nicht besonders interessant

Zwiebeln. Ich hab so viele. Wie bewahre ich die am besten? Einlegen eher nicht. Möchte sie zum kochen benutzen. Google sagt schnibbeln und einfrieren. Geht's auch ohne schnibbeln? Oder irgendwie anders?

Die Waschmittel Werbung sagt immer "Aus Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren" Das gab es ja in den 70gern noch nicht. Aber ich hab trotzdem überlebt. Weil das Scheiße schmeckt.

This was taken when they played Hull in 1964. My mum’s the one with specs and a v-neck on the front row to the right of the picture. She would have been 14 at the time.

I've shared this picture before, but it's a special day, as it's my mum's (the young woman under the big red arrow) 80th birthday.

I should ask her sometime if she remembers anything about the band she was watching. I don't think they had much of a name outside their hometown.
