You keep pushing this story and still haven’t updated it with my very explicit denial on the phone and in writing to your editor, with receipts: This never happened. Jacob Siegel used you to prosecute his petty grievances and pop his book sales and you fell for it.

A day after I published a book on the government-tech control of information, a positive review of it disappeared online. It was the epitome of the very censorship I had just documented, writes Jacob Siegel.

If there's one piece you read on this make it @mmasnick's excellent breakdown. I wish I could highlight every word, but setting up a system to circumvent Section 230 is not a good thing https://www.techdirt.com/2026/03/26/everyone-cheering-the-social-media-addiction-verdicts-against-meta-should-understand-what-theyre-actually-cheering-for/

I'm not saying it's not possible, it is however incredibly convenient
when you consider how much tougher it would be to prosecute
without the evidence he kept on him.

The killer did a good job of planning this out. Hard to believe that
he didn't already plan for how to dispose of the murder weapon

Why would a guy who was smart enough to get as far as he did, hold on to the gun and a manifesto that is practically a confession. It makes no sense. All they had was he looked like a picture of someone who was in the area and matched witnesses description of his clothing. Why was the wife quick to comment about threats the police weren't told about
I wrote about the new information landscape and how prediction markets are transforming media into a libertarian fever dream https://www.niemanlab.org/2024/12/prediction-markets-go-mainstream/
