@Gjoel @morph This is what I did and it worked ok with a few quirks. I have multiple ESP32 BT sensors so the distance fluctuated, depending on which ESP32 was measuring. And the beacon was not as weatherproof as I hoped, so it rusted out and is now ruined. But it worked well until then.
I created a #Meshtastic to #CalTopo bridge in Python so I can slap a mesh tracker on my drone and record its location on a map. https://github.com/heytensai/meshtastic-caltopo-tracker

@KZ4LN I turn the porch lights on if it's after dark. Mostly so I don't trip on the steps coming home, but also I have scared off teens this way.

I signed up for Kagi, after a long time considering it. So far I like it a lot and look forward to using a service that caters to me and not to advertisers. I'm curious to see how many searches I do per day. They say the typical user makes about 3 searches per day, but that seems way low for me.
@hyperreal If you're looking for something like VS Code but lets you remain in control of how it works, have you tried Zed? I switched about a year ago and I love it. It does have AI, but only if you enable it.
@plaetzchen Maybe just create a zone with those coordinates?
@plaetzchen The way I've set this up before is using an MQTT device_tracker entity and then calling the device_tracker.see service from an automation any time the original entity changes
