Frankly, the biggest weapon we have against #Threads is exposing to their users that members of other Mastodon servers are extremely happy (and completely functional) elsewhere, and they would be, too.
Being invisible to them does nothing.
And telling them that migrating off of Threads to another Mastodon server likely means that they will lose access to all of their Threads followers/follows is worse than nothing; it's the exact reason they haven't left already.
In the same way that marriage rights are really divorce rights, one of the great things about Mastodon servers is that you can easily leave them.
I'm going to begin the process of migrating off of photog.social.
If my e-mail provider declared their belief that Google was a monopolistic terror, and that they were therefore going to block all incoming and outgoing e-mail from or to Gmail, I would certainly have to leave them also.
Leave the blocking to me.
