When I started in security, one of the prevailing attitudes was "The weakest link in the chain will always be the human."

I would like to thank every LLM provider and startup for changing this paradigm by introducing a much weaker link in the chain.

What AI coding costs you | Tom Wojcik

What's the effect of the prolonged AI usage among coders and is it tracked correctly, if it all?

Revisited the first iOS game I built (~15 years ago), back when I was learning Objective-C. Non-ARC, old cocos2d, iPhone4 layouts.

Spent a few hours doing manual cleanup, removing things like Flurry + old Game Center code, and fixing enough to make it compile.

It builds. It runs — including proper aspect-fit scaling on modern devices.

Apparently I had even built an After Effects to XML level design system pipeline. Not entirely sure how. 😅

I didn't anticipate hailing Ben Affleck as an astute critic of AI. There are parallels for software developers. The ability to write an effective function or even a whole subsystem is not comparable to writing an app. Great apps require an epic amount of human editing, just like great films do. https://www.threads.com/@forrestpknight/post/DTnlnzAjuAb

Honestly, Ben Affleck actually knowing AI and the landscape caught me off guard, but as a writer, makes sense. Great takes across the board.

@simonbs very cool - I was using https://ntfy.sh for sending myself random notifications, but was also always tempted to just build something like it. Looks very clean and straight to the point!

“I paid for your app, now earn it by implementing what I want."

Get the fuck out, dude. You paid for what I had already built.

Took some time to dive into an old #objc project (after not touching it for five years) and finally solve a bug introduced in changes to AVAudioPlayer - which caused the game to glitch every time a sound was played.

In addition, also made an app clip version of the game - so it can be played without the need to install the full app (saving a whole 2MB of space 😅)

I’ve just released a new version of my iOS app Days ( https://apps.apple.com/us/app/days-keeping-track-of-events/id1079620959), which now allows sorting timers into categories, and collapsing those categories to have a better overview when there’s a bigger list of different timers set up. #ios #appstore
‎Days - Keeping track of events

‎Count the days since ... Need to keep track of time since or until an event? Easy, just tap start and you are good to go. Days will keep track of the days and hours for you. Trying to cut down on coffee? Keep track of how many days you've gone without it. Had a rough night and had a cup? Just pre…

I don’t post a lot (at all) here, but I’ve decided to start at least posting updates when I release something new (or update an existing thing) - so there’s at least some mention of it and it doesn’t just go into the void.

I enjoy all of @TechConnectify’s videos, but this one. 😮‍💨🤌
