Fully blind screen reader user, developer, gamer, musician. Interested in linguistics, cybersecurity, books and finding clever little hacks to make life easier for both myself and those who may come after me. Pronouns are he/him, location is somewhere in the Netherlands. I public speak now and again, but mostly reserve that kind of thing for #Twitch streams where I show off #accessible #games, either accidentally or deliberately made to be so.

@felixxx yeah no, you're unfortunately stuck with having someone watch over your shoulder with those or memorizing the keyboard sequences. Might be easier to learn the way to access your machine's boot menu and where things generally show up in it, that way you don't have to change the boot order outright
@technocounselor Amusingly I think Diablo IV comes the closest
@FreakyFwoof @lulu_bear how ... do you even make this, just run the music through the pseech2speech model? :)
@Kaonarose there is the $alt4Me hashtag, but apps like BemyEyes will generate an AI description too, which may or may not be accurate given its AI
@Lottie If that were to ever be developed, it'd be a long way off still. That is pretty much what the current overlays promise, and they are terrible at it. AI is generally also very badly trained on accessible coding because, surprise surprise, most of the web is inaccessible in some way so its a garbage in, garbage out scenario all around. Given how bad people are at doing it though I can't help but hope this will be a thing one day :)
The #code editors with #screenReaders #stream will be starting in just over 3 hours. For non #twitch users, the stream SHOULD also be broadcast to the BlindlyCoding #youtube channel. See you there at 4 EST over at https://twitch.tv/IC_Null or https://youtube.com/@blindlyCoding #programming #accessibility #goingLive

@jakobrosin heh, ahh the joys of multilinguality :) would be good if you could give those aliases ...ehh, we can dream
@jakobrosin Might the Sonos Voice assistant be a solution there? Particularly for streaming services it seems to work OK-ish for me
@KaraLG84 I think there was a discord called DAW world at some point but I'm not sure if that's still being maintained at all
It's Patch Tuesday. Good time to check your updates are up to date! But also it's time for another IC_Null stream today at 3 PM Eastern/9 PM CEST. More of #tryHackMe's Junior #penTesting path today, we zapped past most of the theory-only stuff last week and this week will be all about #webHacking. Prospective #bugBounty hunters curious about accessibility, this is the one to join. See you then at https://twitch.tv/ic_null #twitch #selfPromo #infoSec #goingLive
