I am what I am
An ex army officer went to Media and said Rape is revenge for rape , he wants Kashmiri women to be raped. And this is just evening news in India . Am so disgusted by how men in powerful situations treat women like objects and I hope some country recognises how India treats its women

Let's get something clear...

The exodus from Twitter is not because of Trolls. Those were easily handled. The problem was that Twitter was being paid by the Govt to turn a blind eye to the radicalisation of the Majority community.

The exodus is not in fear but in disgust.

So many TV news anchors abjured all journalistic values to build a majoritarian consensus on the Ayodhya dispute. They have their prize in the Supreme Court’s judgement.

@h_tejas @yehlog Can make use of Mastodon hosting services too. Starts from 7 Euros a month.
@yehlog perhaps the instance should stay in Switzerland or somewhere with strong data protection and privacy laws

It's not. Sanket Gokhale confirmed
@yehlog @[email protected] @Incindia and @INCKarnataka are also here. Not sure if they are legit.
I can see a few people asking for an India specific instance of Mastodon. IMO, that will only let the regime exert full control, and intimidate the operators into submission. No thanks
Meanwhile..
Some people mentioning the possibility of a server for India users. I think a federated social media platform should have a policy of anyone but residents of that country having legal ownership of the server for its residents. Too many countries - India definitely - will probably force such servers to compromise security or suffer legal pain if server admins are in their jurisdiction.
