This is old but is still one of my favourite encapsulations of #parenting
In other magical computing news, while writing my last post, my Mastodon client froze. But not to worry. These days you can just screenshot it, open the PNG in Preview, select the automatically OCR’d text and copy it. I sometimes wonder how we ever used to get anything done at all.
[UPDATE: I don’t mean to denigrate Ice Cubes. It’s my fault for running a very, very old version]
A couple of years ago my laptop died and the only thing that I couldn't restore from a backup was a little function that lived in my .zshrc file that let me choose which #python virtual environment to run.
Now I am hopeless with shell scripts and couldn't recreate it, but then someone on here pointed out that #ChatGPT is great at them and finally it’s back!
I am sure there are fancier ways to manage this stuff these days but I am old and this is how I like to do it.
