At work I'm an engineering leader for a big software company that makes some issue tracking stuff - you've probably heard of them, but I don't speak for them (updated 2023-09). I come from a systems engineering background, so I'm super passionate about working hard to be lazy and getting infrastructure / deployment / operations / etc out of the way so my engineers (and our customers) can get on with just building cool stuff.
At home I used to have hobbies, but now I have two young kids. I believe that you can love #StarTrek and #StarWars. I make / drink a lot of #coffee - #espresso and #v60 and #aeropress. I'm a sucker for "reality" cooking shows. I love watching sport, and try to keep a pretty open mind as to what sport it is, but I particularly enjoy #AFL, #F1 / #Formula1, and #Cricket.
In a past life I worked in political polling, so every once in a while I get excited by politics. Then I spend some time following it. Then I often end up wanting to scoop my eyes out with a rusty spoon.
When I can, I fire up the gaming laptop - mostly games that I bought many years ago and just keep playing - #EuroTruckSimulator2 #halo #diablo3
