Is there anyone in the room with knowledge about #ESP32 microcontrollers?

I am playing with a #Waveshare development board that has an #AMOLED and a touchscreen, and it says it has built-in #SH8601 display driver and #FT3168 capacitive touch chip, using #QSPI and #I2C communication respectively.

It directly works in #Arduino with #C, but I am trying to make it work with #MicroPython.

Before I spend effort trying to compile it with #LVGL, I want to know if I could print a "Hello World" to the screen as is, and while my mind tells me that I need a driver, the sentence "built-in display driver using QSPI" makes me think that I could eventually use the display without code drivers, but I don't know how.

I'd love to see an example, if it's possible, or to be pointed to any resources that I can read in this regard. I am complete newbie.

Okay, so here's a bit of AI on this usually AI-less account. I read this announcement from Shopify about their new AI tool. It comes right out of the door with an insight:

I have 2 questions:
1) What did their developers do before? Not break down complex tasks into discrete steps?
2) That actually introduces a major loss for the whole AI story: that is, in many organisations, the largest task that programmers need to do.
3) Even just the workflow control they present is something that ops engineers are being paid full time for (Senior YAML manglers ;)), we already have forms on how to have computers predictably do things.

Like, I don't even want to talk away the novelty here, but this is not the 10x improvement people want, at the cost of a huge, expensive and unpredictable component in your system.

I ja saps com van aquestes coses. Que la moto mola? Doncs cal posar-la al dia.

El manillar és massa tancat i la posició de conducció és massa carregant als canells. Calen uns elevadors de manillar i canviar aquest per un de ben pla.

I massa crom hi ha. Cal canviar retrovisors i manetes de fre i embragatge per equivalents en negre. Quin cony de dèria als 90 de fer-ho tot cromat!

Els intermitents són ben cutres, caldrà posar quelcom que. es vegi bé i no quedi com una patada als ous.

I ja a més mig-llarg termini, cal renovar totes les supensions (2 al davant i 2 al darrera), dutxa de sorra al motor i a la línia d'escapament, igual mà de pintura tèrmica, revisar les llums nocturnes del quadre d'instruments i mirar de posar macos els plàstics, que no estan trencats però acumulen merda i humitat de fot anys.

Osti tu. La setmana passada vam tornar a la vida ala moto de la meva parella, una Kawa ER-5. Avui l'he agafat per anar a la oficina.

Quin molinillo, tu! Uns 50cv per menys de 200 Kg, àgil, petita, i revoluciona com un dimoni! M'ho he passat teta de casa a la feina, comparat amb els dies que vinc amb la meva, un mostre enorme amb maletes que no cap per enlloc.

La meva actual jefa d'equip és poc convencional. És centra en el que cal i passa del que són jocs polítics o merders prefabricats. Això també li porta maldecaps en una empresa d'alemanys quadriculats, però m'ha ajudat a deixar-me de preocupar pel que pensin els altres, pel que facin i pels teatres d'entorn de feina.

L'altre dia vaig rebre una samarreta amb el seu slogan escrit, que m'he fet meu també, i que avui porto a l'oficina per què em deixin en pau.

Està molt preocupada pel que està passant entre Israel, EUA, Iran, Rússia, Ucraïna i tot al voltant. Si la deixes parlar, només vols equipar la furgo i marxar ben lluny.

...i jo no m'atreveixo a dir res. És molt grossa l'escalada que està passant aquí al costat.
