I genuinely feel like ads are useless on the internet -- if you need to know something or buy something, you can just look it up somewhere, right?..
I personally haven't; it's always either something I don't need or care about, or the only reason I clicked on the ad is that the close button is microscopic.

Does anyone on here know a way to like, reliably filter out IRL stuff from my social media that *doesn't* involve me deleting my accounts and moving to a cabin in the woods? The constant politics and tragedy does not play well with my mental health and I would like to go back to not being constantly depressed if that is at all possible
