On the surface, the current #Linux distribution model (where distros package everything, from the kernel to the apps) seems fine.

But it's pretty broken, and it's holding the Linux desktop back, which is why distributions like #Ubuntu or #Fedora (and a lot more), are moving away from it, and replacing packages with Snaps and Flatpaks for graphical applications.

Here's my opinion on this, trying to explain why exactly this change needs to happen:

GrapheneOS includes our auto-reboot feature to automatically get data back at rest so that it's not obtainable even if the device is exploited. Can set this to a much lower value than the default 72 hours. 12 hours won't cause inconveniences for most users, but you can go lower.

Do you want to see more posts about interesting topics in your Home timeline? And do you want your own posts to be noticed by others?

Here's how to do both these things:

1. Search for a hashtag you're interested in
2. On the results page, click the + or Follow button in the top right corner
3. Posts with that tag will start appearing in your Home timeline
4. Follow lots more tags
5. Include hashtags in your own posts, tag followers will then see your posts

...also:

-You only need to sign up on one server. The servers communicate to form a single network. People from different servers can follow and interact with each other.

-Don't sign up on mastodon.social, it's way too overloaded. You will have a nicer experience on a different server. You can find well-run reliable servers at https://joinmastodon.org/servers and https://fedi.garden

-You can always move and keep your followers/follows if you ever change your mind about being on a particular server

ShatteredPD v2.1.2 is currently releasing on all platforms!

v2.1.2 is a quick followup to v2.1.1 that fixes a couple of more serious bugs introduced in that patch. There are also a few smaller miscellaneous improvements as well. Expect more patches to v2.1 in a couple of weeks or so as I work on some technical improvements to support future content additions.

Coming Soon to Shattered: Sub-Floors and Digging!

Hey Dungeoneers! In this blog post I’m going to go over some of the new technical additions to Shattered in v2.1.3, and how they’re going to allow for future content. In particular, I plan to use these additions in a reworked blacksmith quest in the next major update!
