@TechConnectify I was confused as all git through the whole thing but still somehow ended up understanding it. Great video.
@COWCAT Ott isn’t a cinnamon roll.
@TechConnectify I used to work for a Motorola Solutions shop, so I immediately thought that those were the Motorola bat wings. That place still has hundreds of vacuum tubes made by Motorola so it even has the right era parts.
@tubetime @wawik Can’t remember if this is reviving a Finch or a Wren but Usagi Electric does a lot of really old mini and larger computer restoration. https://youtu.be/hbc6n3Ln3bM?si=baaNzTLUGhBgd-zg

It’s stuff like this that really characterizes a decent chunk of the mastodon community. Who is actually using an Apple II to get on Mastodon? Doesn’t matter, someone made it happen and I just think that’s neat. https://piaille.fr/@colin_mcmillen/111183331480074185

Mastodon for Apple II release 1.7.1: * Make instance URL prompt clearer * Proxy: update to Debian 11 Bullseye * Proxy: run unprivileged * Proxy: enable telnet on loopback interface This is the first release prompted by actual user feedback! Upgrading the proxy is not mandatory, but good practice - it's never good to run something fetching data from the internet as root, and I had to fix that now that I'm not the only one to use it. https://www.colino.net/wordpress/en/mastodon-for-apple-ii/

@dominick Wish I could fully kick chromium, but the preferred browser at work is Edge. I’m Firefox on my personal PCs and Safari on my Mac.
@COWCAT Nah, he seems of sound mind, if a bit desperate.
Some have suggested to add a finish to the wood Game Boy cartridge. So, here is how it looks after applying linseed oil.
@TechConnectify Gotta love the Tide
@joel It’s a 001, so it’s front lit. I’d have left a 101 alone. I’m eventually going to pick up an IPS mod for this one. Hopefully a laminated one to look even better than the 101.
