This is incredibly cool. #Firefox adding on-device translation is a huge step forward for #privacy, and eliminates one of the last reasons I had to use a chromium-based browser.

@dominick Wish I could fully kick chromium, but the preferred browser at work is Edge. I’m Firefox on my personal PCs and Safari on my Mac.
@wunthyll that's really all I'm asking for. Work is going to require whatever it's going to require (I'm old enough to remember enterprise apps that only functioned in Internet Explorer) but what I really care about is the browsing I do on my home computer. That's the kind of thing Google/Microsoft/Apple are going to data-mine so they can me me to advertisers, so it irks me when I need to shift over to chrome to read something in, for instance, Der Spiegel.
