@ismh86 @jsnell So, that’s a yes? 😉 Wait a few years (decades?) and at least you’d be yelling directly at the data centers.
@ismh86 @jsnell Is SpaceX buying xAI enough of an worlds colliding moment to resurrect the Liftoff feed for a special episode?

Artificial Intelligence (as we know it) isn’t intelligent at all.

@overcastfm Playback speed settings by the 0.1 increment in CarPlay! This is an exciting day. And you said no new features! Seriously, I’ve wanted this for a while, just not enough to actually ask.
@drdrang I have no idea, but definitely seems like they’d be unable to find mistakes that aren’t overwhelmed by right answers, which means they’d be especially vulnerable to topics with small, wrong data sets. Like a student who can memorize test answers but doesn’t actually understand anything. Lots of knowledge, but no intelligence or wisdom.

@drdrang Regarding 11/48th, do you think there’s a blog post or course notes somewhere that have the wrong answer and are in the training set? Either as a mistaken derivation or example of a potential mistake the student is supposed to correct? I did a quick web search (nothing), but equations are difficult to search for.

For example, I could imagine your post being something that could contribute to a bad answer (which doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have posted it).

@gruber, SpaceX isn’t public. I think it may be the world’s most valuable private company (if you trust the valuations). https://daringfireball.net/linked/2025/07/14/musk-gives-himself-a-handshake

@mattbirchler @gruber I turned off the reactions pre-Sequoia and have never noticed the pop up after upgrading on either my personal or work Macs. I use Zoom and Teams on both. Perhaps it is a bug?
