On Dec 20, 1777, the Kingdom of Morocco became the world's first country to recognize U.S. independence. Sultan Mohammed III ordered Moroccan ports to open to American ships & an alliance was built.

Some ignorantly claim that Islam & Muslims are incompatible with America. In truth, America's longest global alliance is with Muslim majority Morocco.

So this July 4th—recognize that America’s greatness is as a secular nation that celebrates people of all faiths & no faith on the tenets of justice.

In about an hour, the Fourth of July parade will go by my house, and the Right to Life group will wave to people sitting on my sidewalk and pass out candy to the kids. Those kids will grow up and someday might need an abortion, but they’ll remember the man who gave them a Jolly Rancher, and how he carried a sign that said GOD STITCHED YOU TOGETHER IN YOUR MOTHERS WOMB, the same womb that now carries a fetus they don’t want or that could kill them. But hey, God’s will, right?

I want to follow some #kidlit writers!

I write YA fantasy and will be asking for critique partners soon. In the meantime, if you want feedback, I love beta reading and would be happy to take a look at your first chapter! #writingcommunity #writing #betareaders #critiquepartners

No one asked for it but here is an illustration of my MC 🥰

She’s a princess desperate to save herself from dying of the plague, so she makes a deal with a demon. But it’s not her own soul she bargains with… everyone in the kingdom is at risk.

It’s #sapphic girly, fruity, adventurous, and full of hope.

I’m hoping to start querying in the fall!

Looking forward to connecting with other #readers and #writers! I read pretty much everything but my favorites are fantasy, horror, satire, and contemporary. I love a character driven slow burn. If people on Goodreads give it 1 star because “nothing happens”… it’s probably right up my alley.

I #amWriting a YA fantasy romance that I hope to start querying later this year. It’s a #sapphic fairy tale about a princess who makes a deal with a demon to save herself. #writingcommunity #sapphicbooks
