@duanetoops @bookstodon oh! I look forward to reading about what you thought about Gunslinger. I’m a King fan but hesitated on that title.
Memory dump. It was February 1999, and I was shuffling back and forth between a dressing room and backstage, making sure all of my actors made it to their entrances because everyone was glued to the TV watching the super bowl and waiting for one actor's commercial to pop up. As frustrating as that day was, it was one of the best days.
Are there any other burnt out folks on here (other writers)? I know you're out there, looking in, wondering if 'it' is going to come back.
Happy New Year, Everyone. I hope to hear about the next check mark on one of your 2023 goals.
@sannewman Some day, I hope an AI powered robot finds my darlings file and makes an epic disjointed adventure out of them.
@colehaddon "I think"
@colehaddon think one no-win scenario is writing for what's popular now. The chances of picking up and selling inside a current trend is impossible unless you're at the top of roster. If a writer wants to catch a trend then they should spread their work out and create different genres to cover the bases.
Has anyone else seen The Fableman's? I found it a subtle but beautiful love letter to filmmaking and art/artists in general.
@JL_Lycette This is also an option. This site goes one step further and allows you to adjust spacing (along the horizontal axis) online once you upload your template. https://www.calligraphr.com/ The free account will give you the basic alphabet and maybe numbers.

@JL_Lycette You can make it a reality for your kid. http://www.yourfonts.com/print.html I've done it with my handwriting and it only took me two tries to get it right.

With YourFonts it's really simple to turn your printed characters into a font.
