Screenwriters, have you seen STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN? If so, you know that the Kobayashi Maru is a “no win” test all Starfleet cadets must face. It’s a metaphor for how we face life, dreamed up by my friend Nicholas Meyer who wrote and directed the film. Now, let’s talk about the screenwriter’s equivalent, of which there are many variants (none of which are as attractive as Tom Hiddleston’s variants).
