if everyone started to use p2p messengers with asymmetrical encryption, the EU would have very little they could do
Totally agree with you; a p2p network is resilient and unstoppable. Every user acts as a node within the p2p network, and as long as people are actively online, it can survive. This means it cannot be banned by any country or government.
Plus, since a P2P network is a decentralized network, there is no central server to store user data such as chat histories or contact lists**. From a data privacy perspective, nothing can compare with a p2p network.
I know people are quite familiar with Signal and Whatsapp due to their E2EE services. However, they are managed by tech companies and utilize a centralized network (central server = another computer). All your chat histories and data are kept in their giant computer/server. Even though it is encrypted, who in the world knows if they have memorized your private key (I think they do, by the way, because governments need these things to monitor suspicious activities or potential criminal incidents).
So, start using applications that operate on a decentralized P2P network; it is the safest way to safeguard your privacy rights.
Ditch centralized platforms.
TUCKER: “Media Matters is a censorship organization funded by George Soros and others who hate Western civilization designed to prohibit people from saying certain things.” And what they are prohibiting are the truth.
Manipulation can be stop by decentralization.
WireMin, Damus are both good choices.

Fediverse is not Decentralized, and we need decentralized for true online freedom and privacy.
I appreciate the functionality of the fediverse social network and believe that its structure has made a significant contribution to online freedom. However, it is essential to acknowledge that the fediverse has not fully addressed privacy concerns, and we still haven’t achieved complete freedom in terms of ownership of our accounts and content. Several issues persist: - Banning still occurs. - Content may disappear upon logging back in. - Email verification is required during registration, compromising anonymity. Each relay in the fediverse has an owner and a moderator with the power to control it, a situation that wouldn’t occur in a truly decentralized network where everyone is equal. Currently, WireMin seems to be the only platform in the market that I discovered has successfully balanced both online freedom and privacy. It offers: - Anonymous identity: No email address or phone number is required for account creation, allowing users to be anyone or no one on WireMin. - Assurances against banning, as stated in WireMin’s official FAQ. - The ability for users to remove feed posts or group messages, giving them control over their content. While WireMin may not have a large user base yet evidenced by the limited interesting chat and feed spaces, I believe this application has great potential, because it addresses the issues of online freedom and privacy that the fediverse lacked.
